Hello Home Shoppe

Nutmeg Coffee Candle

Lately, we've been on a holiday baking bender in preparations for our annual Cookie Exchange, which culminates in a day long cookie-frost-a-thon. As we were baking and the warm aroma of spiced cookies wafted from the oven, we lamented how we wish our kitchen always smelled so amazing. Another one of favorite kitchen aromas is freshly ground and brewed coffee beans, so we thought why not combine our favorite scents for the ultimate cozy smelling candle?!

The result is incredible--it's smells like a tucked away Italian cafe with percolating coffee and freshly baked treats--our kinda place! Make for yourself or make a batch for easy holiday gifting, just don't try to eat them!

Directions

1.) Anchor you candle wick in the center of your vessel and wrap excess wick around a pencil balanced on your vessel like this

2.) Melt your wax according to your manufacturers directions in a double boiler or by microwave in 30 second increments (our preferred method--saves so much time!) and pour into your vessel. Adjust the amount of wax based on the size of your vessel.

3.) Mix in your coffee grinds, nutmeg, and cinnamon essential oil, adjusting amounts according to the size of your candle vessel.

4.) Let your candle harden for a few hours then snip the excess wick wrapped around your pencil.

Enjoy!
